Piano Lessons with Kyley
So you've always wanted to learn
to play the piano and now you're ready to take lessons.
GREAT, I'm here to help and I'm accepting new piano students!
Hi,
I'm Kyley Smith and I understand importance of finding just
the right piano teacher. I'll tell you a little bit
about me here and welcome your call or email with questions
about my piano lessons, classes or teaching style.
Learning the piano should be, and can be, fun! I individualize
my lessons for each student so they get the most out of
each piano teaching session and, at a comfortable pace.
I am a Certified Suzuki Piano Instructor and I emphasize
an enjoyable learning experience.
I offer private piano lessons, in home piano lessons,
periodic student group classes and instruction
for piano teachers. I specialize in classical,
beginning jazz, theory, composition, and music history.
My teaching experience includes piano lessons for children
- all levels of instruction from ages five to eighteen
years and piano lessons for beginners to advanced
players. My students participate in annual recitals
and the annual MTNA (Music
Teachers National Association) National Federation
festival.

Why Choose Me?
My goal for all my students is for them
to become well-rounded musicians. I teach all essential
music elements so they can pursue whatever musical direction
their heart desires.
My methods are classically based but I incorporate all genres.
All students are taught how to play by ear, read music,
read lead sheets, improvise, compose,
edit, and accompany. Music history is introduced
in a fun way and each student will receive their own “composer
journal.” This is a creative way to learn about various
musicians and make history come alive.
I
host up to two recitals every year. This gives students
the opportunity to work toward a goal and enjoy the art of performing
for others. Other performance / competition opportunities
are also offered throughout the year.
I am attentive to each individual and how they learn best.
During the first few lessons I evaluate learning style…auditory,
visual, hands on, or a mixture of these. This helps me
understand the best way to introduce concepts and help the student
learn.
